Note: This option is only available in Alcohol 120%.
Copy Wizard is able to copy discs from a CD/DVD drive to a CD/DVD recorder drive in one single task, it combines the reading and writing processes that can also be achieved by using Image Making Wizard and Image Burning Wizard separately. You can chose to copy from the source CD/DVD to a recordable CD/DVD disc directly (on the fly) or to temporarily save the source CD/DVD in an image file in you local hard-drive and only then burn it.
Insert the source disc into the CD/DVD source drive and a recordable disc into the CD/DVD recorder. Click on the Copy Wizard icon or click on "Copy Wizard" from the "File" dropdown menu.
The details of the source disc will be shown on the window.
Select the CD/DVD source drive from CD/DVD device list and choose the reading speed.
Copy current disc on-the-fly: If you enable this option then Alcohol will copy source CD/DVD to a recordable CD/DVD disc directly, using two optical drives in real time. Otherwise if this option is disabled, the copy process will first create an image file (mds by default) onto the hard drive and then follow by copying that image file to a recordable CD/DVD disc. We do not encourage copying CD/DVD on the fly, as a buffer under-run may occur during the recording process, altough most CD/DVD recorders use technologies to prevent buffer under-run, in most cases the quality of the copied CD/DVD will be reduced if such technologies are used many times during a recording process.
Datatype: Refer to Image Making Wizard section.
