The problem you are having is most probably caused by corrupted SPTD driver in your system or a conflict with other software (for example antivirus, firewall) in your system.

Please uninstall any old version of Alcohol you may have on your system (if you are unable to do it normally just browse to Alcohol folder and delete all files) and then remove SPTD layer.

To remove the SPTD Layer drivers you will need to use this tool, you can download it at following link:

http://forum.alcohol-soft.com/files/sptdremov.exe

After removing SPTD driver from your system and restarting Windows as requested by the tool try to reinstall Alcohol again.

Please make sure that during the installation that all antivirus and antimalware software is disabled including any services that run at start up.
