Site Loggin related problems

Q:- I am returned to login page when logging in

A:- This is most likely because your browser or other software prevents our system from passing the control-variable along from page to page. Your browser address bar should contain an address like this while you are logged in:

http://users.alcohol-soft.com/index.php?sessionid=72f0bc277ef96b6111d23ec622593893

The "sessionid" is a unique value we are using to make sure you are who you are in combination with your IP-address. If you are returned to the login page after logging in or clicking a link please check the address in your browser bar. It should contain an address of the following type:

http://users.alcohol-soft.com/login.php?problem=no_session_id

The data after the "problem=" indicate what the problem is.

Below is a list of the typical errors that can occur and what the fix is.

problem=no_session_id

Problem: This indicates that your browser does not support variables passed along in the address bar. The solution to your problem should be:

  • Use a regular well-functioning type of browser like Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Internet explorer. If you already is using one of these you could try installing another one. This will help us very much to solve your problem
  • Make sure you have disabled all programs of the following types (these can sometimes interfere with your browser:
    • Download/surfing accelerator software
    • Internet privacy/internet security toolkits
    • Firewalls

problem=ip_variation
-------------------------------------------------
This indicates that your computer changes ip while you are logged in. This usually happens when you use proxy software or your internet provider uses a proxy to save bandwidth. The solution to your problem would be: Make sure you are not using a proxy for accessing the Alcohol web site. Info about this can usually be found at your internet providers homepage.
