How do i remove the virtual drivesQ:- I uninstalled Alcohol but the virtual drives remain, how do i remove them?
A:- Go to control panels/system/hardware/device manager, find under "SCSI and RAID controllers" the Alcohol* SCSI controller, and remove it.
All Alcohol drives will disappear. Normally this happens automatically when you uninstall alcohol, unless at the uninstallation time you still had some image mounted.
You will Also need to remove Plug and Play Bios Extension from System Devices. and if needed the Virtual Drive Drivers from the Windows/System32/Drivers Folder.
* Name of the Virtual Drive Driver varies from version to Version.
SPTD versions
1. Remove SPTD first Download stand alone uninstaller from http://forum.alcohol-soft.com/files/sptdremov.exe After removing SPTD from your system and restarting Windows as requested by the tool (you may need to reboot twice in some cases, the tool will tell you)
2. Delete registry key
for 32bit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft
for x64
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Alcohol Soft
3.
Using the Alcohol or Device Manager of Windows to remove the added Virtual Drives
4.
Remove or Rename the installed folder of Alcohol.
