Error installation ended prematurellyQ:- I received an error "Installation ended prematurely" What does this mean?
A:- If you can't install Alcohol120% because you get a message, saying: "Installation ended prematurely because of an error" (the Event Log records an message, msg. no. 11708, for which MS has no clue), then you will be relieved to know that:
This installation failure is caused by the installation path being too long.
Note: This is the path to where you are offered to place the decompressed files, not the program folder!
The remedy? Create a short path for decompressing the files and give it to the installer. Example: C:inst120% would do perfectly.
